StellaMart may change this Privacy Notice at any time, at its discretion. Your continued use of the Site after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Privacy Notice periodically for updates.

What information do we collect?

StellaMart collects personal information when you directly interact with StellaMart.com the following ways:

• Browsing or using merchant.stellamart.com
• Completing an application and creating a StellaMart account
• Using our iOS or Android mobile apps
• Making a purchase using your StellaMart account
• Communicating (e.g. calling, chatting, or interacting with us, including Customer Experience or Sales interactions)
• Interacting with us at a conference or event
• Information We Collect When You Use Our Products and Services
• Information needed to apply for a line of credit and create a StellaMart Account

If you are opening a StellaMart account, we need to process a certain amount of information about you, your business, and individuals associated with your business to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations and to address our fraud risks. We will collect the following information:

Identification Information

• Email address
• Name
• Telephone number
• Home street address
• Social security number or passport number
• Date of birth

Business Information

• Business name
• Business address
• Business industry
• Business tax ID
• Business revenue

Banking Information

• Bank name
• Account holder name
• Account number
• Routing numbers
• Bank address

Device and Connection Information

• IP address
• Geolocation data
• Browser type and version
• Operating system and other software installed on your device
• Unique device identifier and other technical identifiers
• Performance data
• Error reports
• Usage data
• Features you used
• Settings you selected
• Your URL clickstream data (including date and time stamp and referring and exit pages)
• Pages you visited on the service

Your Contacts List

The Stella app will use your Contacts list to allow you to select a recipient for your gift when you use our in-app eGifting feature.

Phone numbers from your Contacts list will be uploaded to our backend. We do this for two purposes. 

• We will compare phone numbers from your Contacts list with Stella users you may have eGifted before. If you have an existing eGift history with any of your contacts, they will be moved to the top of your list, and you can tap on their name to see a history of your eGift transactions.
• When you select a new eGift recipient from your contact list, we will notify them of your gift via text message (SMS).
  

Your Contacts list will not be stored on our server. We only store the phone number of a designated recipient so they may claim your eGift. 

We will never sell or share any of your Contacts data to any third party.

You may choose to deny permission for Stella to access your Contacts List. You can still eGift in person using QR codes, but you won't be able to send eGifts using your Contacts.

Your Images

To personalize your account, the Stella app allows you to set a profile image on the Settings tab. A profile image can be an image you take with your device's camera, or an image you select from your device's gallery. Setting a profile image is optional. If you do set a profile image, it does not necessarily need to be a photograph of you. You can remove your profile image at any time.

Here's what we do with your profile image:

• After you select the image for your profile, the image file is uploaded to our server, saved in our database, and associated to your account.
• When you open your QR code for scanning by a merchant, your image is displayed at the top of the screen.
  
• When you initiate a redemption transaction at a participating merchant, your profile image will be displayed along with your name in the service request.
  

We will abide by these guidelines with regard to your images:

• We will not upload any image from your device without your knowledge and permission.
• We will not activate your device's camera without your knowledge and permission.

We ask that you abide by these guidelines:

• Don't use an image that you're not comfortable sharing in public, family-friendly environments. Keep it PG.
• Don't use images, logos, art, or likenesses for which you do not have the copyright (or express permission from the copyright holder).

Information needed to use our products and services

Personal information is required to be processed when your business assigns a credit card to you. To use this service, we will collect:

• Your name
• Your email
• Your phone number
• Information processed when you make a transaction

When a payment is made by you on the StellaMart platform, we collect information about your transaction. The transaction information is received:

• Directly from you
• From the issuing bank
• From the card networks

We will collect:

• Payment method information
• Purchase amount
• Purchase date
• Purchase location
• Receipt information
• Information provided to us by the card network associated with transactions, merchants, or cardholders
• Information automatically processed when you visit our websites or use our mobile app

In order to facilitate the best financial and security experience for you and us, personal information is automatically collected when you visit or use our website and/or mobile app.

We will collect:

• Browser and device information
• Device and connection information
• IP address
• Geolocation data
• Browser type and version
• Operating system and other software installed on your device
• Unique device identifier and other technical identifiers
• Performance data
• Error reports
• Usage data
• Features you used
• Settings you selected

To create optimal website functionality, we use cookies and other activity tracking tools to:

• Provide you services such as those that allow you to chat with our Customer Success team
• Perform website analytics
• Prevent fraud and prevent attacks against our websites and services
• Assign you a unique identifier so we can record: (i) websites you visit; (ii) length of time theadvertisement was visible; and (iii) IP address
• You have the option to block cookies and other activity tracking tools used by us; however, in
• doing so, you may limit the functionality and use of certain features of our services.

Information processed when you interact with StellaMart

Personal information may be collected about you when you interact with our customer-facing teams (e.g., Customer Success, Growth, Sales, or Marketing) through phone calls, chat services, or email. We may collect:

• Your name
• Your email, phone number, or other contact information
• Content of your communications and survey responses

 
Information from person(s) under the age of 18

We do not knowingly solicit or collect information from any individuals under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

Do We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?

Cookies, which are small text files that a web server (such as StellaMart or its chosen web hosting company server) places on a user’s computer. When accessing a cookie, StellaMart server reads a number associated with a browser, but is unable to determine any data about a user. With that number, our web server can tailor its content to the needs of the specific browser, and we can optimize the Site for your use.

Google Analytics Advertising Features

We also may have the following Google Analytics Advertising Features implemented:

• Demographics and Interest reporting
• Remarketing
• GDN Impression Reporting
• Double Click Campaign Manager

These features collect data using Google advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers. StellaMart and third party vendors use these first-party cookies to access the success of online marketing campaigns, inform future campaigns and improve usability on the Site. Why Do We Need Your Information?

We use Information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any Personal Information, for the following purposes:

• To present our Site and the Site Content (as defined in the Terms & Conditions) to you.
• To operate, manage, and administer your account.
• To provide you with the information or services that you request from us. For example, whenyou provide your name and email address to contact us, we are able to use your email address
• to respond to your comment or question personally.
• To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered intobetween you and us, including for billing and collection.
• To personalize our services and advertising to you.
• To create new services and to improve our business, services, and security.
• To notify you about changes to our Site or any services we offer or provide though it.
• To communicate with you regarding our services, including for marketing purposes.
• In any other way we may describe when you provide the Information.
• To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
• For any other purpose with your consent.

Site statistics are compiled into traffic reports, which help StellaMart understand, anticipate, and respond to user needs. If we learn, for example, of heightened interest in certain aspects of StellaMart projects, we are likely to highlight that information on the Site home page. This Information helps us create a better overall experience for Site users.

StellaMart will retain your Information as long as StellaMart believes it is appropriate for the purposes of this Privacy Notice.

How StellaMart Protects Your Information

We have implemented measures designed to protect your Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Unfortunately, the internet is not completely secure. Although we are working to protect your Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Information either in transmission or when stored. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site.

Does StellaMart Share Your Information?

We may use and disclose Non-Personal Information about our users without restriction. We may disclose Personal Information that we collect or you provide as described in this Privacy Notice:

• To our subsidiaries and affiliates, including third-party payment facilitators.
• To service providers, and other third parties, such as technology partners.
• To a buyer in connection with sale or transfer of some or all of StellaMart assets.
• To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
• For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the Information.
• With your consent.
• To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
• To enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions.
• If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of StellaMart or others.

Except as described above, StellaMart does not sell any of your Information.

Do Third Parties Provide Services On Our Behalf?

We use third parties to host the Site, design and operate the Site features, and perform administrative, payment processing, analytics, and communication services. Services these third parties provide include enabling StellaMart to send you email newsletters and providing
information to StellaMart about the use of the Site and viewing of our content. We may disclose your Information to these companies so they can carry out these services.

Are We Responsible For Links to Other Websites and Services?

We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites or services linked to or from the Site, including the information or content contained therein. Our Privacy Notice does not apply to third party websites or services.

Can You Choose to Share Information You Want?

End users may change or update information at any time through your profile in the Stella app. Stella Merchants may update their information using the Stella Merchant Portal. This includes the ability to modify account settings such as receiving StellaMart emails. We send promotional and marketing communications only with your consent. If you no longer wish to receive these or other communications, send us an email info@stellamart.com or click on the unsubscribe link provided in such communications.

As a registered StellaMart user, you will have the right to terminate your account at any time. Refer to our Delete My Data page for more information about this.
